Are players able to have characters on more than one realm without paying additional fees?
There is one monthly fee to play the World of Warcraft and it applies to all of your characters, regardless of the realm on which they reside.
Are players able to host small, temporary servers on their own machines?
We do not allow players to run their own servers for World of Warcraft. A massively multiplayer online role-playing game demands a high level of server security and a well-connected community to flourish and evolve. We are focusing all of our networking efforts on creating such an environment.
Are players able to select the realm on which they play?
Yes, players are able to select the realm on which they wish to play, and can even make different characters on different realms.
Are there cinematic sequences in the game?
Yes. The Blizzard Film Department has created cinematic sequences for the World of Warcraft. The game will not have as many as our previous games, due to the nature of Massively Multiplayer Role Playing Games. You can download the main introductory cinematic for the World of Warcraft from the official site here.
